Wisdom of the Fool

Wisdom!

The acts of the wise

All knowing at all times

Shoulders bent over with pride

He calls me fool

By whose words I am a fool

And by my deeds I so agree

Though the applause is yours

But the lesson mine

Wisdom!

Though measured by foolishness

And wise men by fools

One is known only by the other

Like day by the night

And I, the fool who will go round

For all that matters,

Reasons posted

But my excuses are as foolish

By wisdom the fire rages

And helpless souls trapped within

But by the fool’s panic

Into the fire and out with a child

While plans are been made

On how by the wise

You will kill yourself fool! They’ll say

There is no cause for alarm

Fools said it can’t be done,

Others said it shouldn’t be done

But here we are; Applause!

For fools the streams are lovely

And the trees peaceful

But for us they are wealth

Global warming! They’ll wave-off

Safe for fools, the world will be gone.
