 GOD I NEED A HUG

In the depths of my soul, a longing resides, A yearning for solace that abides, With weary steps, I wander the streets, Seeking comfort in faces I chance to meet.

But God, I need a hug, a tender embrace, To feel Your presence, Your soothing grace, For in the alleys of my troubled mind, The battles within are harsh and unkind.

They are different, those who walk the streets, From the voices that haunt where darkness meets, Invisible struggles that none can see, Yet they consume and devour the essence of me.

I seek a respite from this relentless war, A touch, a connection that will heal my core, For the world outside can't fathom the pain, That engulfs my spirit like a relentless rain.

Oh, God, I need a hug, a divine embrace, To feel Your arms enfold me in sacred space, To find solace in knowing I'm not alone, That You see the battles my heart has known.

In the whispers of the wind, may Your love be heard, Softly reminding me with each gentle word, That though they are different, both heart and street, Your embrace extends to all who seek.

So, let Your love encompass my weary soul, Let it mend the fragments that feel less whole, For in the union of heart and street, we find, Your divine embrace, the solace we've pined.

God, I need a hug, a touch divine, To heal the wounds that time can't align, In Your loving arms, let me find my place, And be wrapped in the warmth of Your embrace.
